Queens Woman Wins $1,000,000 on Ruby Red X25 Scratch-off Ticket

Sixty-one-year-old Huiquing Mei is Queens County’s newest Lottery millionaire. The Flushing resident won the $1,000,000 top prize on a Ruby Red X25 scratch-off ticket.
“I scratched the ticket in the store and knew right away it was a winner,” explained the home health aide.
Mei purchased her jackpot winner at the CK Pharmacy on Main Street in Flushing. She opted to receive her prize as a one-time lump sum payment and will receive a net check totaling $487,441 after required withholdings.
“I plan to use the winnings to provide financial support for my family,” said Mei.
Mei is the 110th New York Lottery player to claim a prize totaling $1,000,000 or more this year.
As of this writing there are two outstanding top prizes available on the Ruby Red X25 ticket. Players may check the status of any New York Lottery Scratch-off game by clicking the Instant Games Reports link at nylottery.ny.gov.
The New York Lottery contributed $1,337,283,719 in Lottery Aid to Education to school districts throughout the five boroughs of New York City during fiscal year 2017-2018.
