Bronx Man Wins $16.4M LOTTO Jackpot

A Bronx man has claimed the $16,400,000 LOTTO jackpot from the May 29 drawing. His six numbers matched the six numbers drawn making him New York’s newest Lottery multi-millionaire.
He said he has been playing Lotto since the mid-eighties and likes to play numbers that were special to his mother.
The winning LOTTO numbers for the May 29 drawing were 6-12-15-24-31-42.
The lucky winner claimed the prize through the Lucky CDR, LLC. He will receive a one-time lump sum payment totaling $7,562,582 after required withholdings.
He said he plans to take a long vacation to Europe and invest wisely for his future and the future of his family.
The winning ticket was purchased at Peggy’s Stationery on White Plains Road in the Bronx.
The New York Lottery contributed $1,263,968,814 in Lottery Aid to Education to school districts throughout the five boroughs of New York City during fiscal year 2018-2019.
