Lackawanna Woman Wins $1M Jackpot on Lottery Scratch-off Ticket

Sixty-one-year-old Susan Motyka of Lackawanna is Erie county’s newest Lottery millionaire. Motyka won her $1,000,000 jackpot prize on a Gold Bar 7s scratch-off ticket.
“I brought the ticket back to the store to make sure I really won!” explained Motyka
Motyka purchased her winning ticket at the GP Express South on Southpark Avenue in Buffalo. She opted to receive her $1,000,000 prize as a one-time lump sum payment totaling $510,568 after required withholdings.
“I plan to take care of my family with the winnings,” said Motyka.
As of this writing there are two outstanding top prizes available on the Gold Bar 7s ticket. Players may check the status of any New York Lottery Scratch-off game by clicking the Instant Games Reports link at nylottery.ny.gov.
Motyka is the 62rd New York Lottery player to claim a prize totaling $1,000,000 or more this year.
The New York Lottery contributed $186,294,596 in Lottery Aid to Education to school districts in Erie County during fiscal year 2018-2019.
