Queens Man Wins $7M Jackpot on Lottery Scratch-off Ticket

Thirty-eight-year-old Edward Kim of Bayside is Queens county’s newest Lottery millionaire.  Kim won his $7,000,000 jackpot prize on a $7,000,000 Supercash scratch-off ticket. 

“I was in shock and disbelief when I realized I won the jackpot!” explained Kim.

Kim purchased his winning ticket at the Wyckoff Newsstand on Wyckoff Avenue in Ridgewood. He will receive his $7,000,000 prize as a one-time lump sum payment totaling $4,431,280 after required withholdings.

“I plan to use the money to take a couple of vacations,” said Kim.

As of this writing there is one outstanding top prize available on the $7,000,000 Supercash ticket. Players may check the status of any New York Lottery Scratch-off game by clicking the Instant Games Reports link at nylottery.ny.gov.

Kim is the 67th New York Lottery player to claim a prize totaling $1,000,000 or more this year.

The New York Lottery contributed $1,263,968,814 in Lottery Aid to Education to school districts throughout the five boroughs of New York City during fiscal year 2018-2019.
