Queens Man Wins $3M Jackpot on Lottery Scratch-off Ticket

Sixty-three-year-old Bernard Peters of Jamaica is Queens county’s newest Lottery millionaire. Peters won his $3,000,000 jackpot prize on a Money Clip scratch-off ticket.
Peters purchased his winning ticket at the Viva Deli & Grocery on Avenue L in Brooklyn. He opted to receive his $3,000,000 prize as a one-time lump sum payment totaling $1,468,653 after required withholdings.
Peters is the 71st New York Lottery player to claim a prize totaling $1,000,000 or more this year.
The New York Lottery contributed $1,263,968,814 in Lottery Aid to Education to school districts throughout the five boroughs of New York City during fiscal year 2018-2019.
