Syracuse Woman Wins $1M Jackpot on Lottery Scratch-off Ticket

Lisa King of Syracuse is Onondaga County’s newest Lottery millionaire. King won her $1 million jackpot prize on a Win $1,000 a Week for Life scratch-off ticket.
King purchased her winning ticket at the 7-Eleven on West Genesee Street in Syracuse. She opted to receive her prize as a one-time lump sum payment totaling $556,905 after required withholdings.
As of this writing there are four outstanding top prizes available on the Win $1,000 a Week for Life ticket. Players may check the status of any New York Lottery Scratch-off game by clicking the Instant Games Reports link at nylottery.ny.gov.
King was the 122nd New York Lottery player to claim a prize totaling $1 million or more in 2019.
The New York Lottery contributed $104,967,349 in Lottery Aid to Education to school districts in Onondaga County during fiscal year 2018-2019.
