Westchester County Man Wins $1M Jackpot on Lottery Scratch-off Ticket

Seventy-one-year-old Paul Kazmierczak is Westchester county’s newest Lottery millionaire. Kazmierczak won his $1,000,000 jackpot prize on an 88 Fortunes scratch-off ticket.
Kazmierczak purchased his winning ticket at Ellie’s Cards & Gifts on Tarrytown Road in Elmsford. He opted to receive his $1,000,000 prize as a one-time lump sum payment totaling $537,440 after required withholdings.
Kazmierczak is the 72nd New York Lottery player to claim a prize totaling $1,000,000 or more this year.
The New York Lottery contributed $98,339,235 in Lottery Aid to Education to school districts in Westchester County during fiscal year 2018-2019.
